An artist who has been at the top of my list of favorites for years is Danny Kaye.

A born entertainer in the field of movies and music. Even his presence in programs or concerts brought at least a smile to many people's faces. For example, I mention his participation in the muppet show, which has been captured on video by many fans. And of course his commitment and added value to Unicef will never be forgotten by this organization.

Danny Kaye was born David Daniel Kaminsky on January 18, 1913 in Brooklyn. And until his death on March 3, 1987, he was responsible for many smiling faces and people enjoying themselves. And also looks of surprise when he once again showed how versatile he was in the field of music, characters and voices.

My favourite movies with Danny Kaye are:
> The Five Pennies
> The Inspector General
> Hans Christian Andersen
> The Court Jester
> The secret life of Walter Mitty
> White Christmas

And personally I find "The Five Pennies" is his best.
A beautiful movie, with a laugh and a tear. And a nice collaboration with some great musicians such as Glenn Miller and Louis Armstrong. Definitely recommended for those who like (older) music films, if you can still find these movies that is... 😕

As far as his music is concerned, I will mention a few songs from my collection:
* Bloop Bleep
* Tongue twister
* Life Couldn't Be Better (from: The Court Jester)
* Minnie the moocher (a beautiful rendition of the Cab Calloway song)

For those who want to see Danny Kaye in action (again), you can always have look at youtube.com.
You can find plenty of videos there to relax and enjoy. And of course there is wikipedia for those who want to know more about this top entertainer.

To me, he will always be one of my favourite entertainers!
