Sometimes you have a period where you have very little or no motivation to get started with your creative projects / hobbies. And the last 6 to 10 months I was in such a period. Little or no desire to create, continue or finish anything. Most of my free time was spent on the computer, a bit of distro hopping from one Linux distribution to another, a bit of listening to and searching for music, etc... But now with the Christmas holidays the urge came back and I picked up my pencils, magnifying glasses and watercolor stuff again. And I'm also going to take up pyrography again...

In short, my motivation is back and I finished two cake stands this week. The one with the gnome turned out great, and I'm quite happy with the result, I must say.

Even after varnishing, the colors remained good and vibrant. (This one is also in the shop by the way: CLICK ๐Ÿ˜œ

The second cake stand yielded a somewhat lesser result in my opinion. I worked on the same type of stand as the one with the gnome, but the colors weren't really bright or vibrant (not even after varnishing) and the overall result wasn't really what I had in mind and is a bit disappointing in my personal opinion...

But, that being said, I've been busy doing some nice creative things again and I'm hungry for more!
So the (watercolor paints and pencils, paper, pyro set, etc...) will remain in view and in use for the time being. Finishing old projects and starting new ones. I say: let's make it a creative and motivated new year! :-D

    Bedankt Wim!
